Torpedo beets, named for their cylindrical shape, are tender and sweet with dark coloured skin and purple flesh. Excellent for boiling and slicing or preserving. Easy to grow and a great novelty for the kids.
After Harvest: Boiling, preserving and salads.
Position: Full sun.
Planting: 12-15cm apart.
Maturity: 8-10 weeks.
